A collapsing badger sett was identified under the railway in the Hayle area earlier today [Monday, November 17], causing disruption to GWR services between Plymouth and Penzance.
Train movements in the area were stopped while Network Rail specialists inspected the track, with replacement transport provided to stations between Penzance and Truro. The line reopened at a reduced speed, with Network Rail on site to monitor trains. Disruption is expected until noon.
