AN award-winning Newquay artist is staging a talk at an arts festival.
Diane Griffiths will be appearing at the Nansledan Arts Festival, which will be held at Nansledan Primary School on Sunday, June 15 between 10am and 11.30am.
She will be giving a short talk about what it means to be an award-winning artist after being presented The People's Choice Award 2024 in The British Art Prize.
Diane won the prestigious art award for her painting of the Newquay Texaco garage titled Driving Home.
Diane said: “I’ll share insights into the whole experience; from entry through to the voting campaign, the award, London exhibition and being featured in Artists & Illustrators magazine.
“I will give top tips on how to submit to art competitions but also share why rejection, honestly, isn't personal. They will also be able to discover how they can make a difference when opportunities come their way, what it really means to win an award and what happens next.”
