CORNWALL College Group has opened applications for the 2026 Apprenticeship Games, returning to Cornwall College Camborne on February 11 during National Apprenticeship Week.
The annual competition brings together teams from leading Devon and Cornwall employers to compete in a day of practical, technical and creative challenges. The winning team will be crowned Apprenticeship Team of the Year, continuing a tradition that has become a major date in the regional apprenticeship calendar.
“The Games give apprentices the chance to test their skills, represent their employers and connect with peers from across the region,” said Teresa Copping, Head of Apprenticeships at Cornwall College Group.
“Every year the competition grows, and 2026 will bring fresh challenges designed to showcase ability, teamwork and confidence.”
Teams will complete a series of interactive tasks, drawing on technical knowledge, communication and leadership. Previous editions have included activities from mocktail making and E-sports to choreographed dance offs and tractor driving challenges.
Teresa added: “Apprenticeship training plays a key role in building our regions workforce. The Games celebrate that commitment and highlight the talent emerging across our sectors.”
Employers can submit teams at www.cornwall.ac.uk/apprenticeship-games. They can also contact the apprenticeship advisor or email [email protected] for support with registering.
Cornwall College Group delivers apprenticeships across Cornwall and Devon, working with employers of all sizes to develop skilled, job-ready staff.
