A WOMAN from St Austell has been given a suspended prison sentence after breaching her Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

Natalie Haynes was sentenced to 27 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, for breaching her 2017 court order, together with a separate theft and fraud offence.

In July and August, Haynes visited two addresses in St Austell town centre without permission and asked the occupants for money.

Following several reported incidents, she was arrested by St Austell’s Neighbourhood Team on August 11 and released on bail before her sentencing hearing on September 17.

Her imprisonment term could be activated if she is convicted of any further offences in the next 12 months.

A spokesperson for St Austell Police said: “On September 17, Natalie Haynes from St Austell appeared at court for sentencing in regards to breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) together with a separate theft and fraud offence.

“The CBO was issued by Plymouth Magistrates Court in 2017 to prevent her entering the boundary of any residence without the consent of the owner or asking for money or goods from any person unless for legitimate reasons.

“In late July to early August, Haynes attended two addresses in the town centre without the permission of the occupants and asked for money from them.

“Haynes was sentenced to 27 weeks imprisonment which has been suspended for 12 months. Any further offences which she is convicted of during this period may result her imprisonment term being activated.”
