A man was reportedly hospitalised with a suspected stab wound and a manhunt is underway following an incident in the Bethel area of St Austell yesterday afternoon.

Police were notified at around 3.40pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance on Lyons Road.

Armed officers attended the scene and the road was closed off while enquiries were carried out.

Ambulance services attended to two men, one with minor injuries and one with a suspected stab wound, who was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Enquiries are currently still underway to locate a suspect.
