POLICE have seized a vehicle in Newquay following reports from members of the public of poor driving and children not wearing seat belts.
The driver was reported for a number of offences including carrying a child under three without a seat belt, no insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.
A police spokesperson said: “Failing to wear a seat belt significantly increases the chances of serious or fatal injuries, so please buckle up and ensure passengers do as well.
“Officers completed appropriate safeguarding referrals for the child.
“The team would like to thank the public for their assistance and would encourage anyone who has information about potential road traffic offences to report them via the Devon and Cornwall Police website, via 101 or call 999 in an emergency.”
