DETECTIVES investigating a sexual assault on board a train have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
At around 11pm on Saturday, September 12, a man sat next to a woman on a train between Plymouth and St Austell and exposed himself.
He then repeatedly sexually assaulted the woman who was in the carriage and also masturbated. He then left the service at St Austell railway station.
Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information which could help their ongoing investigation.
They would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward to help support their enquiries.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured, as well as any witnesses on board the train who saw what happened, are asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 1219 of September 12.
Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
