POLICE are appealing to the public for help in locating a 42-year-old man from the Liskeard area who is wanted in connection with an alleged assault.

Mitchel Adam Coton is wanted in connection with a report involving allegations of strangulation, controlling and coercive behaviour, stalking and criminal damage.

Police have carried out enquiries to locate Coton but have now turned to the public for information about his whereabouts.

Coton is described as a white male, around 5ft 7ins tall, with a slim build and dark brown hair. He has a pierced left ear and several distinctive tattoos.

These include an eagle tattoo on his left arm, a star and “YIN YAN” symbol on his right arm, and a tribal-style tattoo on his back.

Police are urging anyone who sees Coton not to approach him. Instead, members of the public are asked to report any sightings immediately by calling police on 999, quoting incident number 50260203108.

Anyone who may have information about his whereabouts is also urged to contact police.
