POLICE have launched an appeal for information to identify a man in relation to a burglary in Newquay.

It was reported that the incident, which happened just after midnight of October 30, 2024 involved two suspects forcing entry into a business located on Fore Street in the town centre.

The perpetrators then proceeded to steal a ‘substantial’ amount of money from the premises prior to leaving the scene of the crime.

While the incident has been investigated by officers since the reports of the incident at the end of October, Devon and Cornwall Police have said they are now in a position to release an image to the public of a man they wish to identify in relation to the commercial burglary.

Police believe that the man pictured in the released CCTV images may be able to assist them with their enquiries into the incident.

They are asking that anyone who can help them to identify the person pictured comes forward with their information, with members of the public encouraged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 or via their website quoting reference 50240275124.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are appealing to the public for assistance identifying this man in relation to a commercial burglary in Newquay.

“At around 00.30am on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 two suspects forced entry into a business on Fore Street.

“Once inside they stole a substantial amount of money before leaving the scene.

“Officers have investigated the incident since it was reported and are now in a position to release an image to the public.

“It is believed the man pictured may be able to help with enquiries.
