A MAN was brought to safety from a cliff in Newquay after concerns were raised for his welfare.

Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team, the police and ambulance service attended the incident near Little Fistral on Monday, March 16 at 11.55am.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called following concerns for the welfare of a man in Newquay.

“The man in his 30s then made his way to cliffs by The Headland hotel.

“HM Coastguard and police officers were deployed.

“He was brought to safety by police around 12.35pm and left in the care of ambulance.”

A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard said: “All assets were stood down once the incident was resolved.

“Thanks to the public and The Headland Hotel and Spa for their assistance.”
