FOUR men are due to appear in court today (Monday, September 28) in connection with an alleged robbery in St Austell.

Police were called following an incident in the town in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday, September 27).

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police have charged four men in connection with allegations of robbery following an incident in the early hours of Sunday, September 27, in St Austell.

“Kieran Leverett, 42, of Blowing House Close, St Austell, Christopher Pearce, 37, of Truro Road, St Austell, and Ashley Pearce, 36, and Michael Stringer, 37, both of no fixed abode, have been charged with robbery.

“They have all been remanded to appear before Bodmin Magistrates Court on Monday, September 28.”
