A FIRE crew was scrambled after a man-made den caught ablaze behind Newquay’s popular skate park.
An appliance from Newquay Fire Station attended the incident near Concrete Waves at Trenance on Monday, April 13, at 9.50pm.

The fire spread to a nearby hedge. Firefighters used two hosereel to extinguish the flames.
Eyewitness Joseph Miles said: “The den was just up the path behind the skatepark.
“The fire team were there for a good two hours making sure it was out.”
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “One appliance attended this incident from Newquay Fire Station.
“The incident involved a man-made den and a hedge. The crews used two hosereel to extinguish the fire.”
Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for comment.
