POLICE have appealed for witnesses to come forward regarding an alleged assault on a man in Falmouth.

The incident was reported to have happened on The Moor between 2.30am and 3am on Thursday, May 1.

The man sustained serious head and facial injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.

Detective Sergeant Alex Fisher said: “The victim does not have much recollection of the incident but remembers there was a group of people who he believes assaulted him.

“We are aware that more than one person may have stopped to assist the victim at the scene and would ask that they make themselves known to us. They may have vital information that would help with our enquiries.”
