VINTAGE car enthusiasts will be able to attend Truro Classic Car Show in comfort thanks to a special Sunday shuttle bus service provided by the city’s Park and Ride.
The show will take place on Sunday, July 6 from 10.30am until 3.30pm. This will be the first time the Park and Ride has operated on a Sunday.
The service will run from Tregurra to Quay Street every 15 minutes between 9.30am and 11.45am and from 1.45pm until 4.30pm, and every 20 minutes between 12.05pm and 1.25pm.
The show is free to attend, although Macmillan Cancer Support will be collecting voluntary donations on the day.
Look out for classic and vintage cars including Triumphs, Mercedes, Morris Minors, Jaguars; plus live music, automobilia and autojumble stalls, and a small selection of new cars from local dealers on display.
Truro Classic Car Show is brought to the city by Truro BID, which has partnered with Cornwall Council to fund the shuttle bus service. Truro BID manager Alun Jones said: “We hope having the Park and Ride open will encourage more visitors and residents to attend to the show and enjoy the classic cars along with the city’s shops and eateries.”
Passengers should park at the Tregurra site and catch the bus outside the ticket office. Day tickets can be purchased via the First Bus App or from the driver on the day. Multi-day tickets and PLUSBUS tickets are also valid on the day.
The last service will depart the city centre at 4.40pm. The Tregurra site will close shortly after the last bus has arrived back at the site. Please note the Park and Ride at Langarth will not be open on this date. For more details about the Truro Classic Car Show, visit www.visittruro.org.uk
