St Blazey and District Snooker League latest by Geoff Hawken

WITH their rivals all dropping points, Luxulyan took full advantage by taking all five frames at Mevagissey B to go three points clear at the top of the Victory League.

Tregonissey A were 2-0 down at Bethel D after Jason Pascoe and Geoff Hawken won for the home side, but Jason Cocks, Mark Paulson and Andrew Gooch all got the job done to ensure they stay second.

Bethel A also dropped two frames at St Blazey B with Clive Stuthridge and Gavin Dyche winning for the home side. However, Mark Ashton, Garry Stephens and Paul Baron replied to get there side over the line.

Mevagissey A picked up a great win at Pelynt through Ben Prynn, Darren Powell and Matt Mills, with Phil Ormond and Jamie Daniell replying.

St Blazey A must be favourites for the Rees League after beating Tregonissey B by four frames to one, a result which saw them take the Runabout Shield.

Ryan Orchard took out Stuart Dewings for the solitary home point with Mark Cockayne getting a 30 break in his victory.

Gorran Haven remain second despite a 3-2 defeat at Bugle as Colin and Dave Rundle and Jake Moore won for the home side with Rob Bunney and Matt Fox replying.

Tregonissey C are having a much-improved season and moved up to joint third after beating Bethel B.

They went 3-0 up after wins for Amanda Fleming, Dave Tregale and Mark Richards with Darren Biggen and Craig Nicholls pulling back the final two frames for the home side.

Mevagissey C are also joint third after beating Lerryn by the odd frame as Rich Tamblin, Mark Ferguson and Oliver Watson kept up their end of the bargain. James Stephens and Les Shakespeare secured the visitors’ points.
