ST BLAZEY recently held their annual presentation night for the 2024/25 campaign at their Blaise Park home.
The first team were in the ultra-competitive Western League Premier Division for a second straight season, and eventually survived with a game to spare after Tom Strike’s late goal saw off Torpoint Athletic.
Brad Richardson and Andrew Moon started the season in charge, and while former St Day boss Lee Denton was brought in, it was Mark Carter, who has since been given the role full-time, who guided them to safety.
Blazey’s young side were boosted towards the end of the season by the arrivals of centre-back Jordan Bentley and goalkeeper Kyle Moore from Southern League side, Helston Athletic.

Charlie Hambly and Sam Clifton proved crucial in midfield, while striker Jacob Rowe bagged 16 goals up front in a struggling side.
Elsewhere around the club, Ross Willcock banged in 17 goals in his 12th season with the Green and Blacks to ensure a clean sweep of trophies in the reserves as they finished ninth out of 16 in St Piran League Premier Division East, while the newly-formed thirds, which prioritised introducing a talented bunch of youngsters into senior football, were eighth out of 13 in St Piran League Division Four East.

The winners were as follows: Third Team: Top Goalscorer – Will Scawn; Supporters’ Player – Sean Adlington; Manager’s Player – Ben Barnes; Second Team: Manager’s Player, Players’ Player, Supporters’ Player and Top Goalscorer – Ross Willcock; First Team: Manager’s Player – Charlie Hambly; Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player – Sam Clifton; Top Goalscorer – Jacob Rowe; Club Awards: Gerry Buddle Special Award (for outstanding service) – Justin Dennis for driving the first team coach to away games and his work around the ground; Young Player of the Year – Tom Hensman; Clubperson of the Year – Diane Green (for hosting hospitality for the first team and washing the club kits).
