HAYLE require just seven points from the final two games to be crowned champions following a four-wicket success at a Falmouth side are edging ever closer to a first-ever relegation to Division Two.

The home side recovered from 57-6 to post 157 all out thanks Adrian Noott (47) and Charlie Baker (55) with Matt Lello (4-17) and Tom Sharp (3-46) sharing seven wickets.

Hayle found themselves 61-5, however Malik Din (47no) and Lello (32) saw them over the line.

Falmouth’s only hope is that Roche get less than 11 bonus points, while Luckett are just two ahead after losing to visiting Beacon.

Australian Tom Owen made 154 not out as Newquay all but confirmed their survival with a 219-run thrashing of local rivals Roche. The opener put on 224 with skipper Adam Cocking (98) in a huge 309-4, followed by Jack Howarth (3-33) and Nagu Para (5-36) sharing eight wickets.
