Bodmin Town are holding a public meeting at their Priory Park clubhouse tomorrow evening (7pm) to try to attract people to help the club continue.
The retirement of three stalwarts, Sheila Chapman and Brian and Sandra Retallack, leaves only secretary Nick Giles in place.
And if nobody comes forward, there will be serious concerns about Bodmin Town’s ability to carry on next season.
It is a similar situation to the end of last season when meetings were held in a bid to persuade local people to help. Unfortunately, very little support was forthcoming and the three committee members, who have now retired, agreed to stay on for another year to get through this season.
In a statement issued on Easter Monday, the club stated: “This is your chance to help reset, build and drive the future of BTFC.
“Volunteers and committee members are needed. Come along and be involved.”
Bodmin are on course to finish 10th out of 16 teams in the South West Peninsula League with three home games to go, with manager Dane Bunney having guided a relatively young squad away from the bottom three.
The team are in action tonight against Mullion (7.45pm), then face Dobwalls on Saturday before completing their fixtures against Newquay on Saturday April 22.
Former Bodmin star Dan Jennings scored as Liskeard won 1-0 at Penzance on Monday. He also ended up in goal after Sam Borthwick, and his initial replacement Matt Outtram, went off injured.
