LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photograph shows an image of Terras Hill during the Victorian time.

Barrie says of this photograph: “The view from Terras Hill in 1880. No factory and a clear view down the valley to the bottom of the moor. The large building on the lower right corner with three windows is the first Wesleyan Chapel built in King Street, now converted to two dwellings. The view down to the moor is now hidden by the trees that have grown over the years.”
