More heavy rain is set to sweep into Cornwall, sparking fresh weather warnings.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of persistent heavy rain through Wednesday night and into Thursday.

The downpours are forecast from 9pm on Wednesday, January 11 to 5pm on Thursday, January 12.

Yellow means people should plan ahead for possible travel delays, and keep an eye on the forecast in case the weather changes or worsens.

There are flood alerts in place further up-country asa preiod of sustained wet weather continues.
