A BRAND new and one-of-a-kind exhibition train is on track to arrive in Newquay.

The touring train, called Inspiration, will be visiting the town between April 6 and 11 as part of the nationwide celebrations marking 200 years of the modern railway.

The train, which has been created in partnership with the National Railway Museum, will travel to 60 locations across Britain.

A spokesperson said: “The train will be bringing excitement and curiosity to mainline stations, heritage railways and rail freight sites along the way.

“It will be the only exhibition train on the UK rail network. The experience will showcase the past, present and future of rail, with interactive exhibits designed to inspire the next generation of railway innovators.”
