Thrill riders took advantage of Newquay's big wave spot awakening on Tuesday morning.

Rob Fowlie, Kam Mathews, and Seth Woolly were among the surfers who tackled the giant surf at the Cribbar.

A crowd gathered at the Towan Headland to watch the 11 brave surfers take lefts and rights at the notorious reef break.
