A surfer was airlifted to hospital after being injured at Fistral Beach on Tuesday (April 29)
Members of Newquay Coastguard Search and Rescue Team and RNLI lifeguards took the man via stretcher to a Cornwall Air Ambulance, which landed on the beach at about 11.30am.
The ambulance service also attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team said: “We were tasked to assist RNLI Lifeguards Newquay, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and Cornwall Air Ambulance with an incident on Fistral Beach. We wish the casualty a swift recovery.
“If you see someone in difficulty along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard. Please stay safe.”
