NEWQUAY students celebrated the end of their secondary school journey in style with an unforgettable prom.

Treviglas Academy’s Year 11 attended the event at the Oceanside in Headland Road on Thursday, 26th June.

Students arrived in an impressive variety of vehicles, delighting the crowds of parents and spectators who gathered to witness the occasion, which included biker cavalcades, vintage cars, four tractors, two steam traction engines, an articulated lorry and sleek sports cars.

Students dressed in their finest frocks for the prom ( )

One onlooker summed up the magic perfectly, saying, “It was so lovely watching the arrivals in so many different modes of transport, seeing the beautiful gowns and smart suits. So much effort and thought had gone into creating a wonderful memory for everyone.”

Mrs Vittle, Year 11 Learning Lead, said: “The evening was a huge success, marking a significant milestone for the Year 11 students.

“It was a night filled with celebration, laughter, and pride, which will create memories that will last a lifetime for students, families, and staff alike.

“I have to say how fantastic they all looked. They have been a wonderful year group to work with over the last five years. I am incredibly proud of every one of them.”

Headteacher James Rogers, who personally welcomed every student to the venue, said: “It was an incredible evening celebrating the student’s achievements at the Treviglas Academy Prom.

“They all come so far, and it was truly special to see them mark the end of this chapter in such style.

“We are so proud of everything they have accomplished and wish them all the luck in the world for whatever their future holds. Whether they are off on new adventures or continuing their journey with us, we know they will do amazing things. We’re especially excited to welcome so many of the students back to our Sixth Form in September. The best is yet to come.”
