COME rain or shine, St Ives September Festival has drawn large crowds. Falmouth Marine Band launched the event on Saturday, September 13, with further performances from Piano Bike Girl Chloe Marie Aston and Bodmin Morris dancers Boudica Rocks.
Performers sheltered from last weekend’s downpours in Tate St Ives’ Loggia, while participants in the Big Cauldron marathon music sessions stayed warm and dry in the Western Hotel.
The 15-day, 300-event music festival continues until Saturday, September 27. There are still tickets for Friday night’s events: festival patron Steve Knightley and True Foxes at St Ives Theatre, ska band Rudi’s Message at St Ia’s Church, and the film Enys Men followed by a Q&A with director Mark Jenkin at St Ives Arts Club. www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk
