A ROSELAND Academy prom attendee arrived with a police escort after his car broke down en route to the event. Good-humoured officers came to the aid of George Taylor-McHale on Tregolls Road in Truro; the “detained” year 11 pupil was delivered to The Alverton where he was “released on good behaviour” to join the celebrations.
School leavers celebrated in style on Thursday, July 4, gathering in Probus Square and travelling in convoy to the hotel. From sleek sports cars and vintage classics, to a tractor (or two) and an arrival on horseback, arrivals were extremely creative.
Year 11 head Emma Atkins said: “It’s always such a joy to celebrate with our Year 11 leavers. We wish them all the best for the future.”
