A popular pub in Fraddon has served a warning fake notes are being circulated following the discovery of counterfeit currency whilst cashing up.
The Blue Anchor is considering becoming a cashless pub after the £60 of fakes notes were found in its takings for the day.
The establishment will be serving a lifetime ban if they find out who used the fake currency.
A spokesperson said: “As if times isn't hard enough, we now got customers coming in with fake money.
“We are aware that there are fakes going around but can be missed.
“These are not even that good when compared side by side.
“We will now have to consider a cashless pub as why should we take the hit for this again.”
