IT may be summer but the BID Camborne team are already busy planning for Christmas.
BID manager Anna Pascoe, director Jo Weller and chair Samantha Hussey were joined on a walk around the town by Matt, from Christmas lights supplier Lamps and Tubes, and Abbie, Sam and Jamie from the RG Kellow installation team.
Samantha said: “We pride ourselves on organising a dazzling, cost effective display of festive lights each year and it’s never too early to start discussing the detail.”
“Christmas is very important to our Camborne community, and we are always looking at ways to make the festive period as good as it possibly can be, whilst also being conscious of cost.
“Our walk around went well and I’m sure our streets will again be shining bright for visitors and residents.”
Volunteers are still needed to help with pre-event planning and tasks like dressing the stage on switch-on day, setting out road closure signs and collecting donations.
“We’d love to hear from anyone who’d like to join our committee meetings or provide practical setting up assistance,” said Anna Pascoe.
“Organising Christmas is a communal effort and there’s lots of fun to be had in getting involved.”
