CAMELFORD Town Council has launched an appeal for information after receiving reports relating to a mystery mower in the town.

It said that it had received multiple reports of an individual carrying out ‘unauthorised’ strimming and cutting of vegetation on both land that is owned by private individuals in addition to that which is owned by Camelford Town Council and would like assistance with its enquiries.

The town council said that the nature of the concerns raised to it by residents in the town included alleged damage to plants, shrubs and heather beds in addition to a trail of debris being left behind after the unauthorised work had been undertaken.

In light of the complaints, Camelford Town Council said that it is currently in the process of gathering information regarding the incidents of strimming and cutting of vegetation across the town.

It is asking any resident who has been affected by the work of the individual to come forward with any evidence they might have, such as photographs, dates of the incidents taking place, locations or other information that might be relevant to Camelford Town Council’s enquiries.
