DEVON and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses following a road rage assault near Penzance.

At around 8.15pm on Saturday, December 13, a driver had a near miss with another vehicle on the Morrisons/McDonald’s roundabout.

The second vehicle then followed the victim into McDonald’s car park and stopped in front. All parties exited their vehicles and a verbal exchange took place.

The passenger of the vehicle then assaulted the victim by shoving him, before punching and kicking the victim’s car.

The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault and his car’s wing mirror and door were damaged.
