PLANS to enhance the CCTV coverage at Newquay’s skate park have been given the green light.
Newquay Town Council has agreed to release £3,375 to install two new cameras at Concrete Waves.
Councillors are keen to improve the coverage of the park, including the new extended area, toilets, and bins, following concerns.
It follows the public toilets at the skate park having to be closed temporarily after they were vandalised.
The town council have the go ahead for the funds to be spent at its meeting held on Wednesday, March 4.
The authority’s environment and facilities previously voted unanimously to engage with Enerveo for the procurement and installation of two cameras following receipt of a revised quote of £3,375.
