PLANS have been submitted to make improvements to a doctor’s surgery in Newquay.

Newquay Health Centre in St Thomas Road proposes to carry out internal works including the conversion of the existing medical records room within the roof space into office space including the installation of new roof lights.

The scheme also includes the replacement of the existing draught lobby at the main entrance with a new version to improve disability access and flow as well as updating internal layout to provide two new consulting rooms.

The Newquay Voice recently reported Newquay Health Centre is receiving a funding injection from the government to undertake a refurbishment to provide more appointments for patients.

The modernisation will create additional space to boost productivity and improve patient care.
