AN orchard is set to be planted in Newquay to help spruce up a picturesque area.
Cornwall Council is working on the plans to plant apple trees in the green space behind Newquay Trampoline and Play Park.
Trenance Cornwall councillor Drew Creek is also looking to see if a bike track could be installed there.
Cllr Creek said: “I had a meeting with residents about a potential bike track behind the trampoline park, but it transpires when I had meetings with officers, we are actually planting an orchard there, which is quite nice.
“I’m working with officers just to understand how quickly they are going to be able to do that and what the options there are for a bike track there or at another location. I would like to thank residents for getting involved in that.”
