PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.

Roadworks

LOSTWITHIEL: Grenville Road in Cornwall is set for a closure in early July in order to enable the maintenance of level crossings to take place.

The closure will be between the hours of 11pm until 5am on July 4 and July 5.

The road affected is Grenville Road over the length of the level crossing and an alternative route will be signed on site.

Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained to properties during the hours of the closure.

WADEBRIDGE: Guineaport Road and Fernleigh Lane in Wadebridge is set for a one day road closure in July.

It is set to be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm in order to enable poling works to take place.

The roads affected are Guineaport Road from junction with Fernleigh Road to junction with Southern Way, Fernleigh Lane from junction with Guineaport Road to the rear of No 1 Glencoe Terrace, Wadebridge.

MEVAGISSEY: The road from Bodrugan Hill to Portmellon Road in Mevagissey is set to be closed on July 2 between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The road affected is Portmellon Road, Road From Bodrugan Hill to Portmellon Road, Mevagissey from junction with Penwarne Lane to junction with Rising Sun Lane.

An alternative route will be signed on site.

ST BREWARD: The road from Wenford bridge to Higher Lank set to be closed on July 2 between 9.30am and 3.30pm for fibre cabling works.

The road affected is the road from Wenford Bridge to Higher Lank, Wenford Bridge, St Breward for its entire length. An alternative route will be signed on site.

BODMIN: A temporary speed restriction is set to be introduced on a length of road on Priory Road in Bodmin.

There will be a 40 miles per hour speed restriction on a 350 metre length of road adjacent to a housing estate which is currently under construction.

Cornwall Council say it is satisfied that the order is needed to support construction traffic for development.
