PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
POOL: Trevithick Road in Pool is set to be closed on September 7 for one day between 9.30am and 4pm.
It is to enable contractors on behalf of South West Water to correct defective repair works.
Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained to properties in the affected area and an alternative route will also be signposted on site.
ST CLEER: The road from the junction to the north of Higher Trelake to Kensa in St Cleer is set to be closed between August 25 and August 27.
This is to facilitate necessary works to replace a pole in the area by Circet TM, with the closure set to take place between 7.30am and 6pm on these days, unclouding weekends.
The road affected is the road from the junction north of Higher Trelaske to Kensa, St Cleer between grid references SX 23016 68250 and SX 23100 68259.
An alternative route will be signposted on site and there will be an access maintained to properties in the affected area for pedestrians.
UPTON CROSS: Cornwall Council have confirmed that they have authorised a closure of the road from the access to Pheonix Farm to the junction to the north of Cresta in Upton Cross.
It will take place between August 24 and August 28 and is necessary for cable alteration works to take place by National Grid.
The prohibition on traffic will be in force for 24 hours each day, with pedestrian and vehicular access maintained to properties in the affected area.
LOOE: The road from the north of Great Kellow Farm to Kellow Hill in Lansallos is set to be closed between September 7 and September 8 in order for pole replacement works to be undertaken by Circet UK.
The closure is set to be in place between 8am and 6pm on the affected days.
The road affected is the road from north of Great Kellow Farm to Kellow Hill for its entire length, with an alternative route signposted on site.
