PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
Alcohol licence applications
A BUSINESS in St Austell has applied to Cornwall Council seeking permission to sell alcohol on its premises.
Walkers Restaurants Limited have submitted the application to the local licensing authority for its premises at Walkers St Austell, 1 Truro Road, St Austell, PL25 5JE.
If granted, it will allow the sale of alcohol in the restaurant from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 10am and 9pm.
Anyone who wishes to make representations can do so before March 6, 2026.

Elsewhere, a business in Mevagissey is seeking permission to sell alcohol on and off the premises between 12pm and 11pm on Mondays to Sundays.
Kelly Allenby has given notice that she has applied for the grant of a premises licence for the premises at 10 Fore Street, Mevagissey, PL26 6UQ.
The deadline for making representations is February 24.
Vehicle licence application
THE Cornish Frame Company has applied to use its premises as an operating centre for one heavy goods vehicle.
It would like to keep the vehicle at its premises on Unit 5, Nancemere Farm, Newlyn East, Cornwall, TR8 5JA.
Any representations from owners or occupiers of land or buildings near the operating centres who believe that their use or enjoyment of their land would be affected by the stationing of the heavy goods vehicle can make representations to the Traffic Commissioner within 21 days of February 11.
Representations must also be sent to the applicant at their trading address, in addition to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE.
