A pizza restaurant in Truro is among 68 branches nationwide that are set to close their doors in the coming weeks.
Following major restructuring to their UK operations, Pizza Hut have announced that their restaurant in the Cornish city, located opposite Truro and Penwith College, will one of the dine-in venues that will be shut.
DC London Pic, the company who operates Pizza Hut’s UK restaurants, entered administration earlier this week.
The announcement that 68 restaurants will be closed in areas all around the UK will leave more than 1,200 staff members redundant. A further 11 delivery sites will also be shut.
Parent company Yum! Brands, which owns Pizza Hut’s global operations, have stepped in to save 64 pizza restaurants.
The exact date of closure for the Truro restaurant has not been confirmed yet by Pizza Hut.
