AN MP has called for the future of an eyesore building in the centre of a Cornish town to be resolved by the end of the year.
Noah Law, the Labour MP for St Austell and Newquay, has been calling for action to be taken on the former General Wolfe pub building off Truro Road in St Austell.
He says public money has been wasted on the building which has been left empty in recent years after it was originally bought by Cornwall Council with the intention of housing homeless people.
Mr Law said: “It is highly regrettable that public money has been wasted on this but enough is enough. This entire issue needs to be wrapped up by the end of the year.”
