Restormel Concert Band and guest star Sarah Chamberlain shared Christmas joy at St John’s with Trinity Trewoon Methodist Church, performing much-loved songs and carols.

Superintendent the Reverend Paul Benney gave all a warm welcome.

The evening started with the band playing a “holiday homecoming”, including with Greensleeves and The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

Guest singer Sarah Chamberlain started her performance with a request from her three-year-old niece, singing Let it go.

She was joined by professional pianist and singer Ben Warwick and for their duet Hallelujah.

During the interval a cold buffet was served by the church.

Sarah then sang a very dramatic and amusing song, Never Fall in Love with an Elf.

Again, she was joined by Ben and they sang in harmony Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

The band played jazz-style Christmas music and then changed tempo to seasonal songs including White Christmas.

They ended the evening by donning Christmas hats and singing and playing We wish you a Merry Christmas.
