YEAR 11 students from Truro’s Penair School held their prom at Tregenna Castle in St Ives, where 180 attendees enjoyed their welcome mocktails and a two-course meal.
As soon as the DJ started playing the music, all the pupils left their seats and the dancefloor stayed packed until the last song: ‘Mr Brightside’ by The Killers, which saw staff and students alike singing their hearts out.
“The students all looked fantastic, and I have had comments from parents and staff to say how brilliant the night was, and how amazing the students were,” said Year 11 student welfare officer Hannah Thomas. “We will miss them, and we wish them all the luck in the world with their next chapters.”
