NOT-FOR-PROFIT organisations in Newquay are being invited to apply for a community grants scheme that aims to enhance the quality of life for the town’s residents and visitors.

Newquay Town Council’s 2025 Community Grant scheme is now open for applications.

The authority supported a diverse array of positive projects last year through the scheme providing £19,000 of grants to organisations including Blystra Arts, Newquay Cricket Club, Newquay Food Bank and Newquay Surf Life Saving Club.

The grants are intended to support initiatives that align with the town's core values and priorities, contributing to the overall well-being and development of Newquay.

Projects eligible for funding should fall within one or more of the following categories including promotes tourism and leisure for both visitors to Newquay, or Newquay residents with a community focus.

Supports the town council’s local safety campaigns. Supports a community or charity event within the Newquay parish that will enhance or add to the existing events held in Newquay.

Promote community pride. Inspire local students and younger residents to learn more about an important local issue or local history/culture.

Promotes a sports-related initiative or event. Promotes Newquay to a wider platform, focusing on increasing visitors to the Newquay area and boosting local economic activity.

Promotes environmental issues which improve the amenity of the parish.

The deadline for applications is Monday, June 23 2025.

A second grant gateway window will open in September 2025 for applications between September 1 and 23.
