LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.
This week’s photograph takes us to a sight from the past in Polkerris.
Barrie says of this photograph: "Launching of the Polkerris Lifeboat in 1908. Behind the boat can be seen the massive building of the Elizabethan Fish Palace to process pilchard catches.
“The fish have moved and the building has since been demolished.”
(Barrie Doney)
