LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photograph takes us on a trip to the Great Hall of the Old Duchy Palace.

Barrie says of this photograph: "This is the old Methodist Chapel that was situated on the bank in Queen Street, Lostwithiel.

“It was quite a large chapel with the sunday school rooms situated adjoining. The interior of the chapel had a balcony with the organ up on the higher level. The buildings have now been converted to flats, after the interior was completely redesigned.”
