Newquay police have increased patrols following a spate of alleged burglaries and thefts.

Officers have appealed to residents to keep their property locked and secured following the rise in incidents.

A police spokesperson said: "During recent night time economy shifts, officers have increased foot and mobile patrols after recent burglaries and thefts in the Newquay area.

"Please check your property is locked and secured at all times."
