After a prolonged spell of fine weather it will be more changeable from today. There will be heavy rain from tonight into Thursday, and fresh southerly winds.

It has been very busy in the harbour, restaurants and boat trips. With the bank holiday this weekend it will probably be the last busy weekend, before the gig championships in September. Locals were saddened to hear Mike Morris had passed away. He was a fisherman, boatman and the lifeboat secretary in the 19 70s. Funeral arrangements will be published later. There is no band this Saturday in Newquay Rowing Club.
