AFTER a quiet start to the week weather wise it is all change from today, with strong winds and a big swell expected.

A couple of boats have gone to Padstow and Wadebridge for winter to be stored safely. Others have been bringing their lobster pots in. The blue container on the edge of the car park in the harbour will be a lobster hatchery information centre when it’s open.

There is no band this Saturday at Newquay Rowing Club. Tomorrow evening the Harbour Rats are playing at Halwyn in Crantock at 7.30pm.
