The owners of a top Newquay hotel are urging local community groups to submit grant applications before Monday’s annual deadline.
The Headland Hotel established the Cornwall Community Foundation in 2019 to demonstrate its commitment to investing in the community at large.
Hotel guests contribute to the fund by making an optional donation when they check out, whilst staff and community fundraising events also boost the coffers.
The fund typically supports projects from Newquay and the surrounding areas which address immediate crisis relief, mental health and wellbeing provision.
The average grant available is £3,000, although higher awards may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
Previous grants have been awarded to Newquay Orchard, DISC, Newquay Foodbank, Newquay Youth Club and Oasis House.
Family Director Veryan Palmer is welcoming any local community group or organisation to apply for a potential donation before Monday's deadline.
