A naming ceremony will be held for Newquay RNLI’s new D-Class inshore lifeboat.
The event will take place at the boathouse on Newquay Harbour on Saturday, March 14 at 11am.
The new vessel has been made possible thanks to a generous donation to the RNLI.
A Newquay RNLI spokesperson said: “The naming ceremony is a private, invitation-only event open to crew members and invited special guests.
“The traditional pouring of the champagne will take place outside the boathouse, followed by the launch of the lifeboat, and members of the public are very welcome to watch this part of the ceremony from the harbour.
“We look forward to marking this important milestone in the life of our station and sharing the occasion with our community.”
