MP Noah Law has admitted he doesn’t like the prominent Earth Goddess artwork in Aylmer Square in the centre of St Austell.
The Labour MP for the St Austell and Newquay constituency made the admission on Facebook when replying to a question.
The MP had posted about a delegation including a government minister that had visited the town centre to consider some of the challenges it faces and the potential support that may be available.

One of the pictures accompanying the post showed Mr Law in front of the 11.5-metre tall ceramic artwork that was installed in 2022 and has since divided opinion.
The picture prompted someone to ask Mr Law: “Do you like the art behind you?”
The MP replied with one word: “Nope!”
