A motorcyclist sustained life changing injuries in a collision in Hayle yesterday (Wednesday, February 22).

Police investigating are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Upton Towans, at the junction with Treve Lane, at around 10.25am.

The motorcyclist was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance.

There were no reports of any other injuries.

Police would like to thank the public for their support and patience while the road was closed. It was reopened at around 5pm.
